Writer & Documentary Filmmaker

Nathan Keowen is a New York-based documentary filmmaker and video journalist with a sharp eye for character-driven storytelling and background in vérité production.

He is currently completing his M.S. in Documentary Journalism at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where his thesis film has been jury-selected to move forward to production. Prior to his graduate work, he shot and produced video for the USA TODAY Network and The Tennessean.

His documentaries have screened at festivals and earned awards, including Best Documentary Short at the SacIFF. He holds dual degrees in Film Production and Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
